Organizations
Harker Robotics
The Harker Robotics Team is the FRC team for The Harker School.
We aim to grant club members the opportunity to explore STEAM through hands-on experience with robots and their components. We develop the organizational and teamwork skills required to successfully design and build for the FIRST® competition. We perform with joy, professionalism, and excellence, sharing our knowledge and experience with the larger community.
As a member of our App Development team, I have done substantial work on 1072's website, purchase request system,
attendance system, and other apps. Being on the team since October 2021, the experience has been awesome as I have
learned many new techonologies and made extensive contributions to the organization.
App Dev League
App Dev League is a student-run non profit organization bringing web and app development opportunities to underprivileged students from low-income centers, housing authorities, and Title 1 underrepresented schools across the nation.
Founded in 2019, we are a group of students devoted to bringing modern web and app development opportunities to underrepresented students. We strive to increase diversity in the technology workforce and empower students, regardless of their socioeconomic status or racial background, to make a social impact through full-stack development. We hope the knowledge we impart through our program will make a difference starting on a small scale to eventually a global scale.
Being part of our dev and student instructor teams, App Dev League has been a wonderful part of my web development career. This organization has given me the opportunity to direct my enthusiasm for programming to aid others with a similar passion as mine. I have done much work on ADL's STAR Program (Student Teacher Academic Resources).
- I am currently developing our teaching app, Devnetic, to be released 2022. Devnetic will be a gamified teaching app for our students on the App Store.
- I have helped build our Curriculum Hub, which contains thorough educational content on web development, artificial intelligence, and computer science for students worldwide.
- I have taught live Zoom workshops with students of grades 1-8 on web and app development.
Harker Hackers
Harker Hackers is a team of six Harker middle school students committed to bringing technological services to the school.
Harker Hackers is a group of Harker Middle School students dedicated to building serviceable student software, established January 2021. Since then, we have released a variety of projects. We build tools to improve our peers' school life using technology, and we've have had our services pushed as official school solutions.
Our organization has built four projects to better our students' daily experiences. Our work has pushed as official school solutions, and I've spoken at multiple school-wide assemblies announcing our projects. Our Schoology Chrome extension has been downloaded by 367 Harker students and our School Announcements Discord Bot currently serves 46 Harker students. Being co-founder of Harker Hackers, I improved my leadership, public speaking, and web development skills.
